Upper Social was founded in 2021 as a community-driven initiative for freelancers. Born out of real-world challenges faced by creatives and independents, we began by building tools, resources, and relationships to support the freelance lifestyle. In 2023, our vision evolved into a product: UpperBoard, a full-featured platform for managing portfolios, clients, projects, and finances. We’re proud to have grown from a grassroots community into a technology company backed by leading innovation hubs such as İTÜ Çekirdek and BTM Kuluçka Merkezi. Our young and dynamic team — built by passionate developers, designers, and entrepreneurs — continues to push forward with one goal: To empower freelancers to work smarter, grow faster, and take control of their careers.
